The Arts. All too often thought of as a leisurely way for elite folks to pass time, The Arts are, in fact, a major economic engine in all of our major cities.  Arts patrons fill not only the venues they attend, but flood into neighboring shops and restaurants.  Arts venues employ people.  They provide a place for us to gather.  They are the most natural expression of our human souls.

Arts education helps children engage in school.  It helps people of all ages find their voice for creative expression.  In tough times, the arts bring us together and remind us we are not alone.

From movies to operas, art museums to sculpture parks, Americans - as individuals and corporations - have a long history of creating and embracing The Arts.

JUST CAUSE will keep a close eye on trends in The Arts, From The Entertainment Industry Foundation (all those movie-stars giving back to our communities) to world-class museums, Arts colleges to arts programs in public schools.  We'll keep you up to date on what's happening - and the individuals, organizations and corporations that are supporting a healthy arts community.

It is statistically proven that arts education engages students in learning, gives them a sense of identity and self-direction, and equips them with the skills and attitudes that are the keys to success. For a young child, the arts are the first and essential pathway to literacy and learning. Ironically, public resources have been steadily declining for
arts education.

The Entertainment Industry Foundation's National Arts Education Initiative was launched with the support of the entire entertainment industry to help reverse this trend and further the arts for children and
young people.

The Seattle Art Museum's new Olympic Sculpture Park will feature works from the Seattle Art Museum's collection of sculpture, works built into the fabric of the park, video projection, temporary installations and loaned works. The art will emphasize the park as a dynamic space that changes over time and will feature works by international artists, including works by artists from the Northwest. The art will take full advantage of the park's distinctive design. This new park will be a community gathering point and major tourist attraction for generations.

The American Ballet Theater is indeed a national gem/ ABT isn't just a company, it's a collaboration.
